Get to know Podiatrist Dr. Gayatri Samnarain, who serves patients in New York.

A professional in the field of podiatry, Dr. Samnarain provides comprehensive medical and surgical care for a wide spectrum of foot and ankle conditions, including common to complex disorders and injuries that affect people of all ages. She is uniquely qualified to detect the early stages of diseases that exhibit warning signs in the lower extremities such as diabetes, arthritis and cardiovascular disease, and can manage foot conditions that may pose an ongoing threat to a patient’s overall health.

Back in the early days of her academic career, Dr. Samnarain graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences from Mercy College in 2011. She then went on to earn her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in 2015, after which she performed her residency in foot and ankle surgery at Saint Joseph’s Medical Center.

Podiatry is a branch of medicine devoted to the study, diagnosis, and medical and surgical treatment of a variety of disorders of the foot, ankle, and lower extremity. A podiatrist, also known as a podiatric physician or a foot and ankle surgeon, is a medical professional devoted to the treatment of disorders of the foot, ankle, and lower extremity. They can treat injuries and complications from ongoing health issues like diabetes.
