In 2000, Dr. Lewis obtained his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree (DO) from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, ME. He then completed his anatomic and clinical pathology residency at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut, (2000-20004). To advance his training, Dr. Lewis performed a selective oncologic pathology fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, NY (2004 – 2005).
Subsequent to his education, the doctor attained board certification in clinical and anatomic pathology through the American Board of Pathology. The American Board of Pathology is one of 24 member boards of the American Board of Medical Specialties. This organization was assembled in May 1936, under the approval of the Advisory Board for Medical Specialties and the American Medical Association Council on Medical Education and Hospitals.
