A prominent emergency physician, Dr. Chew is the Chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem. With extensive experience in emergency care and a commitment to serving the community, he leads the department in providing high-quality, immediate medical attention to the residents of Central Harlem and surrounding areas.

Harlem Hospital Center, also known as NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem, is a 272-bed public teaching hospital affiliated with Columbia University. It is the largest hospital in Central Harlem and the only Safety Net Hospital in Northern Manhattan, delivering a comprehensive range of medical, surgical, diagnostic, therapeutic, and family support services.

Boasting an impressive academic background, Dr. Chew earned both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from New York University before completing his medical education at New York Medical College in 2003. He further honed his skills during his internship and residency in emergency medicine at Jacobi Medical Center from 2004 to 2007. Following his training, he achieved board certification in emergency medicine from the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM), which recognizes physicians who meet rigorous educational, professional, and examination standards.
