Vancouver Vein and Surgical Center in Washington is led by board-certified general surgeon & vein specialist, Dr. Rubano. Practicing a full range of general and vascular surgeries, he and his staff strive to maintain the highest standards in care, while at the same time ensuring that each patient is treated with compassion and attention to individual needs. 

For the past 20 years, Dr. Rubano has honed his surgical skills in general, venous, and minimally invasive procedures. His holistic approach to care focuses on treating the condition and restoring physical appearance. He provides patients with personalized care and attention as he works with them to plan out the best possible course of treatment. He also tailors treatment modalities to better meet the unique needs of his patients.

After earning his medical degree from the Loma Linda University School of Medicine, Dr. Rubano went on to serve his residency in general surgery at the same educational venue. Before long, he became board-certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery, which is an independent, non-profit organization located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, founded for the purpose of certifying surgeons who have met a defined standard of education, training, and knowledge.

General surgery is a surgical specialty that focuses on abdominal contents including the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, appendix and bile ducts, and often the thyroid gland. A general surgeon performs a wide range of abdominal surgeries for many forms of intestinal and abdominal wall neoplasms, gallbladder disease, gastric and pancreatic disease. They follow the patient through critical care and surgical recovery all the way to outpatient care. 

Vein specialists are physicians who are trained to treat conditions affecting the veins, including varicose veins and spider veins. These doctors know how to recognize the signs of vein disease, diagnose patients accurately, and recommend the best course of treatment.
