Born and raised in Memphis, Dr. Patel moved to Houston for college and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rice University. He then went on to receive his medical degree from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine, before completing his residency in orthopedic surgery and fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at the University of Chicago.
During his medical training, he gained wide ranging experience from 3 Level 1 trauma centers, a burn center, and one of the top tumor programs in the country, before returning home to the south. He has been providing competent and compassionate care to his Georgia patients since graduating from his fellowship.
