A well-known figure in the field of neurology, Dr. Spencer. sees patients at Blue Sky Neurology in Englewood, Colorado. His medical interests include management of acute stroke and intracranial hemorrhage, visual held deficits and diplopia associated with stroke, ischemic optic neuropathies, idiopathic intracranial hypertension, optic neuritis, and visual phenomenon associated with migraine.

Blue Sky Neurology (BSN) is an innovative neurology practice that provides the full spectrum of neurologic services for patients and those involved in their care. BSN has physicians involved in all phases of neurologic illness: acute neurologic emergencies; neurologic support for hospitalized patients; and outpatient care for those with new or ongoing neurological conditions. 

Founded in 2005 by established clinicians known throughout Denver and the Colorado region, BSN has thrived and expanded since then. Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Dr. Spencer started his medical career by earning his medical degree from Meharry Medical College School of Medicine in 2004. He then went on to complete his adult neurology training at the Mayo Clinic Arizona in 2008, and a subsequent fellowship in stroke and cerebrovascular neurology at the same educational venue. Furthermore, he completed a second fellowship in neuro-ophthalmology at the University of Utah, Moran Eye Center.

The recipient of the Peak Performer Award in 2014, the doctor is board-certified in neurology and vascular neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to promoting high-quality patient care for the public through the initial and continuing certification of psychiatrists and neurologists.

Neurology is a branch of medicine dealing with disorders of the nervous system. Neurologists are licensed medical specialists who diagnose and treat disorders that affect the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles of patients. They examine a patient’s mental and physical status, conduct medical tests and scans, and evaluate the results to diagnose and treat the patient.

In his spare time, Dr. Spencer. loves spending time with his wife, watching movies, and going to Denver Nuggets games.
