Dr. Brooks’ career in medicine began in 1977, when he graduated from the University of Pennsylvania's Perelman School of Medicine in Philadelphia. After obtaining his medical degree, he completed his internship and residency at the Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington, before completing a fellowship at the Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado. Dr. Alfred B. Brooks is a vastly experienced physician who has been in practice for over four decades. Dr. Brooks is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology, but it is in this latter field that he has become a renowned expert. He diagnoses and treats a comprehensive variety of cancers in patients of all ages. He is also known as a specialist in the provision of hospice and palliative care. Alfred B. Brooks, MD, is Hematologist and Oncologist with his own practice in Arlington, Virginia. In addition to his expertise and repute as an oncologist, Dr. Brooks also enjoyed a distinguished career in the United States Army, and he is a retired Colonel.
