Eagle Pass Physician Celebrates Over Two Decades of Dedicated Service to the Community

Sergio Zamora, MD, DO, CWS, has become a trusted name in family medicine since establishing Zamora Medical Group in December 1997. With a robust background in geriatric medicine, hyperbaric medicine, intensive care, and wound care, Dr. Zamora is not only a family physician but also a Certified Wound Specialist dedicated to providing comprehensive care for his patients.

Affiliated with Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center, Dr. Zamora has gained a reputation for his compassionate and patient-centered approach. His extensive experience in various medical fields allows him to treat a diverse range of health issues, making him a vital resource for the Eagle Pass community.

Dr. Zamora's educational journey began with a Medical Degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León in 1981, followed by a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific - Western University of Health Sciences in 1994. He completed his residency training in family medicine at Doctors Hospital and John Peter Smith Hospital (Tarrant County Hospital District) in 1995 and 1997, respectively, honing his skills and knowledge in a variety of clinical settings.

Board-certified in Family Practice and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, and in Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians, Dr. Zamora is committed to delivering high-quality primary care to patients of all ages and backgrounds. His dedication to ongoing professional development is evident in his active involvement with the American Osteopathic Association, the Texas Osteopathic Medical Association, and the Wound Care Society, ensuring he remains at the forefront of medical advancements.
