Dr. Stuart E. Horowitz is board certified in family practice. He has been practicing in the Long Island Massapequa area for almost 29 years. He was born in Brooklyn, New York and grew up in Seaford, Long Island. He received his Bachelor’s of Arts from Hofstra University in June of 1974. Dr. Horowitz then attended the College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in Desmoines, Iowa in June of 1977. He completed his family practice and internship, rotating between Massapequa General Hospital, Interboro Hospital, and Long Island Jewish Hospital. Dr. Horowitz became board certified in family practice in July 1985. He is affiliated with New Island Hospital in Bethpage and North Shore University Hospital in Plainview, New York. He is a member of the following societies: Fellow of American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, New York State Osteopathic Society, Long Island Osteopathic Society, American Osteopathic Society, American College of General Practitioners, and American Osteopathic Association. On December 30, 1988 he was awarded with a Certificate of Appreciation for his work from the National Foundation for Cancer Research. Dr. Horowitz was also recognized and awarded with the Certification of Appreciation award in November of 1990, for time and medical contributions to the Syosset Council of Substance Abuse. Dr. Horowitz was recognized in Strathmore’s Who’s who 2001-2002 faculty member and instructor for the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. He has been selected as one of the Best Doctors in America every year since 1995 and also recognized as one of the Best Family Practitioners in New York since 1996. Dr. Horowitz became board certified in family practice in July 1985. He is affiliated with New Island Hospital in Bethpage and North Shore University Hospital in Plainview, New York.
