Dr. Hurst is a highly trained and qualified podiatrist with extensive expertise in all facets of his work. He has been in practice for over two decades and is currently serving patients at his private practice, Foot Specialists of Austin, Cedar Park, and Georgetown.
Firmly believing a patient does not have a leg to stand on without a healthy foot and ankle, he specializes in addressing foot issues such as arthritis, bunions, plantar fasciitis, ingrown toenails, gout, ankle pain, warts, and fungal nails. He has special interests and experience in pediatric and adult flat feet, surgical reconstruction, bunion correction and chronic heel pain treatment.
Throughout his academic career, Dr. Hurst completed his undergraduate studies at Northern Arizona University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. While he worked as an EMT, he completed his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at the Dr. W.M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine. Shortly after, he completed his residency in podiatric surgery in Dallas, Texas with well-respected physicians who specialize in podiatry and orthopedics.
Distinguished as a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (FACFAS), the doctor is board-certified in podiatric medicine and podiatric surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine, which exists to offer podiatric physicians a comprehensive board qualification and certification process.
On a professional level, he is an active member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, and the Texas Podiatric Medical Association.
