Get to know Hospitalist & Family Physician Dr. Rajeev Kurapati, who serves patients throughout the State of Kentucky.

An experienced hospitalist & family physician, Dr. Kurapati is affiliated with St. Elizabeth Physicians, seeing patients at their offices in Florence, Ft. Thomas, and Edgewood, Kentucky.

St. Elizabeth Physicians is the multi-specialty physician organization of St. Elizabeth Healthcare, one of the oldest, largest, and most respected medical providers in the Northern Kentucky, Southeastern Indiana and Southwestern Ohio regions. Their combined reputation has been built through unyielding dedication to their patients and employees. They are focused on introducing innovative treatments, technology, and processes that lead not only to better patient care and customer service, but to the overall improvement of the health and wellness of their region.

A native of India, Dr. Kurapati graduated with his medical degree and completed his internship at the Kilpauk Medical College. Upon relocating to the United States, he completed a residency in family medicine at St. Elizabeth Healthcare.

Passionate about his profession, the doctor is board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties. 

Family medicine is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. The specialist is called a family physician or family doctor. A family physician is often the first person a patient sees when seeking healthcare services. They examine and treat patients with a wide range of conditions and refer those with serious ailments to a specialist or appropriate facility.

Hospital medicine is a medical specialty that exists in some countries as a branch of internal or family medicine, dealing with the care of acutely ill hospitalized patients. The primary focus is caring for hospitalized patients and co-management with other specialties. Hospitalists take an active part in medical care and ensure a safe discharge for the patients they take care of. They are being increasingly involved in administrative roles, given their expertise and collaboration with various teams in the hospital.
