Raised in Hutchinson, Kansas, his academic journey led him to Texas Christian University before earning his MD and PhD in Pharmacology from the University of Kansas. After completing his internship and residency in internal medicine at Emory University Hospitals in Atlanta, Georgia, he pursued specialized training in cardiology and post-doctoral research at the University of Iowa Medical Center.
With board certifications in internal medicine, cardiology, and cardiac echocardiography from the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. his expertise lies in general cardiology, valvular heart disease, diseases of the aorta, and peripheral vascular disease.
