Birmingham Obstetrics & Gynecology is proud to offer professional and courteous healthcare with a touch of personal and caring attention. Each of the obstetricians-gynecologists are highly trained and board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology. They offer many services and procedures including, but not limited to: preconception counseling, infertility testing & treatment, prenatal care and delivery, as well as all major and minor gynecological surgeries. The practice is also affiliated with St. Vincent’s Birmingham and Outpatient CareCenter.

A Mobile native, Dr. Damrich graduated with his medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine in 1990. He then went on to serve his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Emory University School of Medicine, after which he joined Birmingham Obstetrics & Gynecology in 1997.

Among the doctor’s most notable achievements, he is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a non-profit organization that provides board certification for practicing obstetricians and gynecologists in the United States and Canada. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG). 

Obstetrics and Gynecology is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics and gynecology. An obstetrician-gynecologist, or OB-GYN, is a healthcare professional who specializes in female reproductive health. 

Throughout his line of work, Dr. Damrich has been the recipient of the following awards and honors: Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2015), On-Time Doctor Award (2009), and Patients’ Choice Award (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011).

On a more personal note, he is married with three children and two stepchildren. His interests include playing golf, traveling, and participating in sports involving his children.
