Get to know Family Medicine Practitioner Dr. Claudio Santos Garcia, who serves the population of Juana Díaz, Puerto Rico.

With over a decade of expertise, Dr. Claudio Santos Garcia is a general family practitioner currently serving his patients at South Coast Medical Services LLC located in Puerto Rico. 

To begin his career, Dr. Garcia attended Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara and earned his medical degree in 2001. 

In order to provide the best care to his patients, Dr. Garcia currently specializes in geriatrics. On a more personal note, he attributes his success to the support from his family and always being empathetic to his patients and their families. 

Family medicine is the medical specialty which provides continuing, comprehensive health care for the individual and family. It is a specialty in breadth that integrates biological, clinical and behavioral sciences. The scope of family medicine encompasses all ages, both sexes, each organ system, as well as every disease entity. The specialist is called a family physician or family doctor.

Geriatrics, or geriatric medicine is a specialty that focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease and disability in elderly people. The specialist is called a geriatric physician or geriatrician.
