Get to know Dr. Helen Kuo, who serves patients in Torrance, California.

Dr. Kuo is a podiatrist serving Torrance and the surrounding communities. She is associated with Providence Health & Services – a system of passionate providers focused on partnering with patients to simplify health care. With 50 hospitals, 829 clinics and hundreds of locally driven programs, they are improving the health of communities they serve, especially the poor and vulnerable.

Dr. Kuo received her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) at California College of Podiatric Medicine. She then went on to complete the surgical residency at the Food and Ankle Institute of America, in Monrovia, California.  She has clinical interests in diabetes management, diabetes mellitus, general foot surgery, and wound management.

Dr. Kuo maintains a professional relationship with the American Board of Podiatric Surgery (ABPS). The ABPS offers a comprehensive board qualification and certification process in podiatric medicine and orthopedics.

Podiatry is the medical specialty concerned with the comprehensive and continuous foot health care of patients. As a podiatrist, Dr. Kuo has additional fellowship training in reconstruction of the foot and ankle from the effect of diabetes or physical trauma. She uses medical, orthopedic, biomechanical and surgical principles to maintain and correct foot deformities.

With over 25 years of experience in the field, Dr. Kuo has treated thousands of patients. She has served the community in the South Bay/Torrance area by given talks to community groups and participates in health fairs.
