Dr. Shukla is a highly regarded Emergency Medicine Physician and Assistant Professor at the University of Minnesota Medical Center, where she dedicates herself to providing exceptional care and education in emergency medicine.

Before embarking on her professional journey, her academic journey began at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where she pursued a dual degree, earning both a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Medical Doctorate. Following her medical degree, she completed her residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Illinois Chicago, honing her skills in managing urgent and critical medical situations with efficiency and expertise.

Driven by a desire to contribute to healthcare leadership and administration, Dr. Shukla furthered her education by obtaining a Master’s in Health Administration, Executive track, from the University of Minnesota. 

Dedicated to clinical excellence, the doctor attained board certification in emergency medicine through the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM). The ABEM certifies emergency physicians who meet its educational, professional, and examination standards.

Emergency medicine is the medical specialty concerned with the care of illnesses or injuries requiring immediate medical attention. An emergency physician works in an emergency department to care for acutely ill or injured patients on an unscheduled basis.
