Get to know Pediatrician Dr. Janel H. Zacchilli, who serves patients in New York.

Dr. Zacchilli is a board-certified pediatrician at DeVito & Alvarado Pediatrics, seeing patients out of their offices in Brooklyn and Staten Island, New York. She is committed to providing each child with high-quality medical care in a warm and nurturing environment, taking pride in always keeping the child’s best interest at heart.

Alongside her clinical role, she serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor within the Department of Pediatrics at NYU Grossman School of Medicine.

Born in Brooklyn and raised in Staten Island, Dr. Zacchilli graduated from Fairfield University and received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, New York. Her residency in pediatrics was completed at the Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children’s Medical Center of Northwell Health.

A Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, she is board-certified in pediatrics by the American Osteopathic Board of Pediatrics (AOBP). The AOBP is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of medical diseases in infants, children, and adolescents.

Licensed to practice medicine in New York, Dr. Zacchilli is affiliated with NYU Langone Hospitals, NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, and Richmond University Medical Center.

Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends individuals be under pediatric care up to the age of 21. Pediatricians provide medical care to people ranging in age from newborns to young adults. They are trained to examine, diagnose, and treat children with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses through all of their developmental stages, as they grow and mature.

On a more personal note, Dr. Zacchilli resides in Staten Island and is a very busy mother to 3 young boys who are competitive swimmers. She enjoys reading and sports and is also fluent in Spanish.
