Get to know Pediatrician Dr. Carl J. Battista, who serves patients in Oradell, New Jersey.

Having been in practice for over three decades, Dr. Battista is a caring pediatrician specializing in newborn, pediatric, and adolescent medicine. He has been serving families in northern New Jersey at his private practice – Carl J Battista MD, PC – since 2003.

Offering comprehensive medical care, he and his staff assist patients with a wide range of services, including: routine wellness exams; same-day sick visits; state-of-the-art hearing and vision screening; on-site laboratory services including urinalysis, hemoglobin, PCR testing for strep throat, venipuncture, and rapid testing for flu; ear-piercing; prenatal consultations for new parents; pulmonary treatments; insurance referrals and authorizations; educational and developmental consultations; ADHD medical management; and 24/7 emergency care by the physicians– no answering service. They are also privileged to be on staff at The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, New Jersey & the Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, New Jersey.

A graduate of John Hopkins University, Dr. Battista went on to earn his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in 1985. Furthering his training, he performed his residency in pediatrics at Nassau University Medical Center. In addition to primary pediatric, he obtained specialized training in attention and learning disorders & pediatric asthma and pulmonology.

A Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP), the doctor is board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The mission of the ABP is to advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.

Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends people be under pediatric care up to the age of 21. Pediatricians provide medical care to people ranging in age from newborns to young adults. They are trained to examine, diagnose, and treat children with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses through all of their developmental stages, as they grow and mature.
