Get to know Anesthesiologist Dr. Louis DelCampo, who serves patients in Springfield, Missouri.

A knowledgeable anesthesiologist, Dr. DelCampo is in practice at Jordan Valley Community Health Center, serving patients at their Tampa Street offices in Springfield, Missouri.

With a broad educational background, he graduated with his medical degree from the University of Bologna in Italy in 1992. After relocating to the United States, he completed his internship and residency in anesthesiology at St. Luke’s Hospital in 1996 and 1999, respectively.

Distinguished as a Fellow of the American Society of Anesthesiologists (FASA), the doctor is a Diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA). As the certifying body for anesthesiologists since 1938, the ABA is committed to partnering with physicians to advance lifelong learning and exceptional patient care. Its mission is to advance the highest standards of the practice of anesthesiology.

Anesthesiology is the medical specialty concerned with the total perioperative care of patients before, during, and after surgery. Anesthesiologists have a vast amount of responsibilities that include vigilant monitoring of the patient’s vital signs during surgery, managing acute pain, maintaining safety, and most importantly, acting as the patient’s advocate in the operating room.

Speaking several languages, Dr. DelCampo is fluent in both English and Italian, and is conversational in French. He loves technology, sci-fi, dogs, Star Wars, Star Trek, and the Avengers.
