Get to know Pulmonologist Dr. Elinor Schottstaedt, who serves patients in Scottsdale, Arizona.

An expert in changing the lives of her patients for the better, Dr. Schottstaedt practices pulmonology in Scottsdale, Arizona. Embodying the values of communication, safety, and trust when dealing directly with patients, she is passionate about enhancing her patients’ quality of life.

Back in 1982, she graduated with her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, and went on to complete her residency at the Strong Memorial Hospital. Later, she completed her fellowship in pulmonary disease at the Maricopa Medical Center.

A member of the American College of Physicians, the doctor is board-certified in pulmonary disease and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Pulmonology is a medical specialty that deals with diseases involving the respiratory tract. A pulmonologist is an internal medicine physician who specializes in preventing, diagnosing, and treating conditions and diseases that affect the lungs, bronchial tubes, and the respiratory system, including the nose, pharynx, and throat.

As a testament to her success, Dr. Schottstaedt has been the recipient of the Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2018, 2016, 2015), and Patients’ Choice Award (2018).
