Get to know Otolaryngologist Dr. Andrew Marlowe, who serves patients in Sarasota, Florida.
An expert ally in ear, nose, & throat care, Dr. Marlowe is a board-certified otolaryngologist specializing in adult and pediatric otology, neurotology, and general otolaryngology. He works alongside Dr. Chad Marrs at their private practice located in Sarasota, Florida.
Honored to be using their medical expertise to serve the Sarasota community, Dr. Marlowe started the practice over a decade ago, with a concentration on ears, nose, and throat medical issues. The practice naturally expanded into hearing aids, and the Center for Hearing was born. Recently, Marlowe & Marrs ENT launched an Aesthetics division, which includes non-invasive body sculpting for permanent weight loss, laser therapy for skin tightening and wrinkle reduction and lastly, a cosmetic line of products for face and skin care. The primary concentration of Marlowe & Marrs, Ear, Nose & Throat – Center for Hearing – Aesthetics remains routed in adult and pediatric ENT specialization in a vibrant and inviting setting.
On the subject of his educational background, Dr. Marlowe received his medical degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania before completing a surgical internship there. He was granted an auditory electrophysiology research fellowship at Temple University’s Garfield Auditory Research Laboratory, where he also completed a surgical residency. He received postgraduate training in craniofacial/skull base surgery at the Center for Head and Neck Surgery at Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center. He was also granted a fellowship in otology/neurotology at the Dallas Foundation of Otology.
Following his training, Dr. Marlowe was appointed Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology Surgery at Hahnemann University of the Health Sciences in Philadelphia, which is now known as Drexel University College of Medicine. He was later appointed Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology Surgery and Director of Neurotology for the State University of New York at Buffalo. As an assistant professor, he also served as a full-time surgical instructor.
A Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and a member of the Florida Medical Association, Dr. Marlowe is board-certified in otolaryngology through the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (ABOHNS). The ABOHNS serves the public by ensuring that diplomates meet the standards of training, knowledge, and professionalism through initial and continuing certification.
Otolaryngology is the oldest medical specialty in the United States. Otolaryngologists, also known as ear, nose, and throat doctors, specialize in disorders of the head and neck, ranging from hearing loss to cancer.
With a proven record of helping patients regain their hearing and providing them with the health care support they seek, Dr. Marlowe has been the recipient of several awards and honors throughout his extensive career. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, going to the movies, driving high-performance automobiles, and playing with any kind of gadget or high tech toy.
