Dr. Maughan is a board-certified dermatologist who treats a full range of skin, hair, and nail disorders. She is Weber County’s first female dermatologist, serving patients at Wasatch Dermatology in South Ogden, Utah.
With over 40 years of family tradition, Wasatch Dermatology was founded by Dr. Willard Maughan in 1979. His daughter, Dr. Julie Maughan, has continued the tradition of compassionate care since 2007. She and the Wasatch Dermatology team work together to provide patients with all-inclusive dermatological care, including medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology services.
Alongside her professional role, Dr. Maughan has medical privileges to admit patients and practice at McKay-Dee Hospital, a not-for-profit community-focused health system operated by Intermountain Healthcare, located in Ogden, Utah.
Throughout her academic career, she earned her medical degree from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2000. She then went on to complete her residency in internal medicine at Olive View UCLA Medical Center, followed by her residency in dermatology at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City in 2007.
Before long, she became board-certified in dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology (ABD). Located in Newton, Massachusetts, the ABD certifies physicians in dermatology, dermatopathology, and pediatric dermatology. It is one of the 24 medical specialty boards that make up the American Board of Medical Specialties. As for her achievements, she has been inducted as a Fellow with the American Academy of Dermatology.
