Get to know Infectious Disease Specialist Dr. Judith Olabisi Sobowale, who serves patients throughout the State of New York.

A determined infectious disease specialist, Dr. Sobowale is the Medical Director of the Bronx and Columbus Circle offices of AHF Healthcare Centers. She chose to work at AHF because they concentrate mostly on HIV cases, which is her passion. She has been seeing HIV patients for almost 30 years. Her special interest is in general infectious disease treatment in all gender and travel medicine.

The AHF Health Centers Bronx & Columbus Circle offices are filled with great employees that strive to deliver their mission everyday: providing cutting-edge medicine and advocacy regardless of ability to pay. Academically, Dr. Sobowale earned her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine. She then went on to complete her internship, residency in internal medicine, and fellowship in infectious disease at Harlem Hospital Center. 

As a testament of her continued education, the doctor is board-certified in infectious disease and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

In good standing with a number of professional organizations, Dr. Sobowale is an active member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, and the Infectious Disease Society of America.
