Get to know Otolaryngologist Dr. John Grosso, who serves patients in North Lindenhurst, New York.
A board-certified otolaryngologist treating both adults and children, Dr. Grosso has been in private practice on Long Island for over 20 years. He specializes in medical and surgical treatments of diseases of the ear, nose and throat, and has treated and cared for tens of thousands of patients all over Long Island throughout the course of his career.
He was the first ENT surgeon to perform surgery using the Laser to restore hearing at Plainview Hospital over 20 years ago, and continues to perform this miraculous surgery for individuals with special types of hearing loss.
In addition to his work at Sunrise ENT, PC, Dr. Grosso is the Director of the ENT Department at Syosset Hospital, and is on the Medical Board of North Shore University Hospital at Plainview.
As an active member of the medical staff at Plainview Hospital, he also served as President of the Medical Staff. He is the past President of the Long Island Society of Otolaryngology (LISO), an organization that includes most of the ENT doctors on Long Island.
Holding a Bachelor of Arts degree from Stony Brook University and a Master’s degree from St. John’s University, Dr. Gross earned his medical degree from Upstate Medical University in 1986. He then received his ENT training and residency at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
Licensed to practice medicine in New York, he is board-certified in otolaryngology through by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, which serves the public by ensuring that diplomates meet the standards of training, knowledge, and professionalism through initial and continuing certification.
A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Grosso is a proud member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, the Long Island Society of Otolaryngology, the Medical Society of the State of New York, and the Nassau Surgical Society.
