Actually Dr. Evans left me in an examining room and never came back. All of a sudden he had a more important patient than me. Also, he did two leep procedures on me and they were inordinately painful. I had pre-cancerous cells and I did because my first doctor in Palm Beach treated for this condition also. The doctor in Palm Beach retired and I was transferred to Dr. Collins in Stuart, Florida. He always seemed very rushed, disinterested in my problem except to say I might need a radical hysterectomy. He made me think I had cancer when I didn't. It upset me so much that I flew to North Carolina to see my family because I felt I was on my way into the operating room when I arrived back from my visit. I was going through a very stressful period at the time, Menopause and other problems. I went to another doctor after this and my pap revealed that there were no pre-cancerous cells and I continued the Pap test one a year for the 20 years with no pre-cancerous cells in my cervix. I credit this to a much more peaceful and stress free environment. I will never forget Dr. Collins though, my cervix will never be the same again. I would never recommend him to my family or friends, To completely forget about your patient in an examining room is inexcusable under any circumstances. If it was an emergency, he should of come into the examining and told me instead of leaving me there for well over an hour.
