Dr. Schutzman is a fellowship-trained cardiologist at Edgewood Heart & Vascular – St. Elizabeth in Edgewood, Kentucky. 

In collaboration with St. Elizabeth Healthcare, he is affiliated with St. Elizabeth Edgewood Hospital, St. Elizabeth Covington Hospital, St. Elizabeth Florence Hospital, St. Elizabeth Fort Thomas Hospital, and St. Elizabeth Grant Hospital.

A 1988 graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, Dr. Schutzman went on to perform his residency in internal medicine at Mercy Hospital in 1991. He then furthered his training with a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Cleveland Clinic Foundation in 1994.

A Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), the doctor is board-certified in cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Cardiology is a branch of medicine that deals with the disorders of the heart, as well as some parts of the circulatory system. The field includes medical diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease, and electrophysiology.
