Dr. Zaret is one of Long Island’s leading board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeons. He possesses extensive expertise in total ankle replacement surgery, as well as other more common foot and ankle procedures such as fusions, tendon repairs, and bunion corrections. Currently, he is in practice with Orlin & Cohen Orthopedic Group, seeing patients at the offices in Lynbrook, Garden City, and Woodbury, New York.
An affiliate of Northwell Health, Orlin & Cohen has Long Island’s largest, most experienced team of orthopedic subspecialists, available seven days a week. The doctors have years of extra fellowship training in the nation’s top programs, which gives them specialized expertise, experience, and access to the latest techniques so that patients experience better outcomes.
A 1996 graduate of SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University, Dr. Zaret went on to serve his internship at Stony Brook University Hospital in 1997. This was followed by a residency in orthopedic surgery at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in 2002, and a fellowship in foot & ankle surgery at Union Memorial Hospital/Institute for Foot and Ankle Reconstruction at Mercy in 2003. “My fellowship training and specialization ensures my patients receive the latest treatments in both common conditions and complex surgical reconstruction” expressed the doctor. Dr. Zaret has continued his education by completing the MBA program at Adelphi University in 2020.
He is affiliated with several hospitals and medical centers in the local area, including Long Island Jewish Valley Stream, Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Syosset Hospital, South Shore Ambulatory Surgery Center, South Nassau Communities Hospital, and North Shore University Hospital.
