He began his career after graduating from the Universite Libre de Bruxelles in 1992 and completing his residency at St. Vincent Catholic Medical Center Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Jamaica, New York. After graduating, Dr. Mathieu was appointed Assistant Professor of Medicine in 2000 by the New York Medical College where he continues teaching today. He is a member of the American Medical Association and the American College of Physicians. He attributes his success with the ability to communcate effectively.
