Sibte H. Burney, MD, attended Dow Medical College, recieving his degree in 1977. His career has included both practicing and teaching medicine. From 1992 through today he has been a faculty member at SUNY Downstate Medical Center of Medicine in Brooklyn, New York, and from 1992 to 2001 he taught at SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn College of Medicine. His popularity among patients received him both the 'Compassionate Doctor Recognition Award' in 2009, and the 'Patient's Choice Award' from 2008-2010. Today, Dr. Burney practices infectious disease medicine at New York Medical & Diagnostic Center in Kew Gardens, New York.
