Ramzi Abunassar, MD, obtained his medical degree in 1973 from the University of Ottawa Medical School. He then went on to complete his residency in internal medicine at Mcmaster University followed by a fellowship in clinical nutrition at the Civic and General Hospitals. Since establishing a career in medicine, Dr. Abunassar has become a member of the Ontario Medical Association, Canadian Medical Association, Ontario Association of Gastroenterology and the Canada Association of Gastroenterology; he has also written articles on clinical nutrition. Today, he privately practices medicine and is a faculty member in the gastroenterology department at the University of Ottowa.
