  • What should I do to prevent an infection after plastic surgery?

You should absolutely speak with your board certified plastic surgeon about this who is doing the surgery for their protocol. Generally speaking you will be prescribed an antibiotic and have dressings on your nose. Aftercare once removed may include coating the sutured areas with bacitracin. READ MORE

  • If my nose surgery goes wrong, can It be corrected?

Burn marks can absolutely be treated by a plastic surgeon. It is tough to determine exactly what strategy could give the best results but I recommend you have a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon. Often you can also find one that has a fellowship training in the hand, I am one of those plastic surgeons. Good luck! READ MORE

  • Can liposuction work for diabetic patients?

Liposuction can remove excess fat tissue. But people with diabetes should not confuse it in any way with bariatric surgery or traditional weight loss. Liposuction, however, does not change insulin resistance or result in these other health benefits. I advise you consult a board certified plastic surgeon. READ MORE

  • What is the best treatment to get rid of stretch marks?

Stretch marks are tough as they come when the skin is expanded. There are plenty of creams and skin products which claim they will help reduce or prevent stretch marks like cocoa butter and almond oil. Despite the claims on the products nothing has been proven. The only treatment that is sure to remove stretchmarks is surgical removal through an abdominoplasty/tummy tuck. This will only work for stretchmarks around or below the level of the belly button. Stretchmarks above the belly button may be tougher to remove. Where it is appropriate to surgically remove the skin, it is possible, but I suggest you seek consult by a board certified plastic surgeon to assess what is best for you. READ MORE

  • How does the plastic surgery to remove scars work?

The surgical plan would really be dependent on your scar that you are looking to remove. The procedure involved does vary from person to person as everyone has a unique injury or situation. The pain and treatment would also be planned around an evaluation of your scar. I suggest making an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon. READ MORE

  • What is the best way to treat puffy eyes?

If you only experience puffy eyes at certain points of the day it may be related to various reasons. If you are looking to treat a permanent eye issue that you feel is puffy you may do so with surgery. Without a photo it is difficult to judge and assess the puffiness. If the bulging is more substantial on a regular basis, then the fat can be removed by a blepharoplasty surgery. I suggest seeking consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. READ MORE

  • Scars from burns

Without seeing your burn in person it is difficult to offer treatment. I would need to understand if you have any oral antibiotics being used or silver sulfadiazine. Once the skin heals over you could consider using Plato's Scar Serum, PDL, and fractional laser to improve your scar depending on if you are a candidate. I would suggest consulting in person with a board certified plastic surgeon. READ MORE

  • Can anything be done about my hip shape?

The actual bones cannot be changed, but often patients seek liposuction as a way to achieve their optimal body shape. I highly suggest a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to determine if this may be an option for you based on your expectations. READ MORE

I had wrist surgery with Dr. Patel and couldn't be more pleased. After searching for different hand surgeons, I'm glad I found Dr. Patel. The surgery went smoothly, and even the little things after the surgery (calling to see how I was doing, emailing me for easy contact if I needed anything, etc.) were what made my experience incredible. His resume speaks for itself. He is hardworking and wants to provide the best care for his patients.

Definitely recommend Dr. Patel! Wow Dr Patel just sent me an email, in case I need to contact him! He also thanked me for making him laugh! Best doctor ever!

Hard to find a surgeon like Dr. Patel here in Florida. I Had no idea what an accomplished doctor I was going to be taken care of until I was in the waiting room watching details on him. The staff was great and I feel like I made a trusted friend in Dr. Patel when he gave me his email address and answered emails I was sending him so promptly. A high quality level of service in healthcare is tough to find but you will with him.

Dr Patel is the best! I’ve seen him for Juvederm & Botox. It can be super scary trusting someone with you face, but Dr Patel is patient and thorough. He really takes time to address your wants and concerns, making the process very comfortable. He is also a perfectionist and insists on making sure his clients are happy! I would definitely recommend him.
