Dr. Pop-Moody attended the University of Timisoara Medical School in Romania, where she graduated with her Medical Degree in 1974. Upon relocating to the United States, Dr. Pop-Moody completed her residency at Hurley Medical Center, before undertaking her fellowship training in Rheumatology at Michigan State University and Detroit Medical Center, Sinai Hospital. She is double board certified in Rheumatology and in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She is a highly trained and qualified rheumatologist with an extensive expertise in all facets of her work. To keep up to date with the latest advances and developments in her challenging field, Dr. Pop-Moody maintains a professional membership with the American Medical Association, the American College of Rheumatologists, and the Texas Medical Association. For her excellence, Dr. Pop-Moody earned the distinction of “Super Doctor” by Texas Monthly for the past three years, was awarded America’s Top Physician in 2006 and 2007 by the Consumer Research Council of America, and was listed in Presidential Who’s Who in 2008 and 2009. She attributes her success to her willingness to help her patients and loving what she does for a living. Dr. Adriana M. Pop-Moody has been in practice for more than two decades and is currently serving patients within her own private practice, Corpus Christi Rheumatology located in Corpus Christi, Texas. She is also affiliated with CHRISTUS Spohn Shoreline, CHRISTUS Spohn South, Doctors Regional, and Bay Area hospitals. A rheumatologist is an internist or pediatrician who received further training in the diagnosis (detection) and treatment of musculoskeletal disease and systemic autoimmune conditions commonly referred to as rheumatic diseases. These diseases can affect the joints, muscles, and bones causing pain, swelling, stiffness, and deformity.
