Pacita T. Colanta, MD, obtained her medical degree in 1960 from the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine and Surgery in Manila, Philippines. She then continued her medical training in the United States, attending Christ Hospital in Jersey City, University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey University Hospital, and Veterans Affairs Medical Center in New Jersey for her residency. Dr. Colanta is a member of the American Society of Hematology and American Society of Internal Medicine. Passion for the industry and accommodating patients, she says, are instrumental to her success. Today, Colanta practices hematology and oncology at Christ Hospital in Jersey City, New Jersey.
