Curtis R. Powell, MD, received his medical degree in 1991 from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, School of Medicine in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Powell then attended Naval Medical College in San Diego, California for his internship and residency; followed by his fellowship in neurourology, reconstruction and incontinence at the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor. His medical career has seen numerous achievements including being named as Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, publication of his research and studies about urology in renowned peer-reviewed medical journals, and membership in professional societies such as the Society of Government Service Urologists, Association for Vascular Access, American Urogynecologic Society, and Society of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgeons. He attributes his success to excellent training and teachers, hard work, treating each patient as an individual. Today, Powell practices urology at the Urologic Specialists of Oklahoma in Tulsa and Hillcrest Medical Center, also in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
