Timothy P. Cooley, MD, earned his medical degree in 1981 from State University of New York School of Medicine in Buffalo. He then attended West Virginia University Hospital, Rochester General Hospital in New York, and University of Rochester School of Medicine in New York for his residency; followed by his fellowship in hematology and oncology at Boston City Hospital. His medical career has seen numerous achievements including the publication of his research and studies about hematology and oncology in renowned medical journals; and membership in medical societies such as the American Society of Clinical Oncology, International Aides Society, and Massachusetts Medical Society. His mentors and his patients, he says, are instrumental to his success. Today, the doctor practices hematology and oncology at Boston Medical Center; he also works as Associate Professor of Medicine, Hematology/Oncology Department at Boston University School of Medicine in Massachusetts.
