Isidro A. Amigo, DO, FACOS, is an accomplished single incision laparoscopic surgeon at Magruder Hospital in Ohio. Before coming to Magruder, Dr. Amigo had a private practice in Marietta, Ohio for 27 years. He was the first surgeon to perform first advanced laparoscopic surgeries in the Mid-Ohio Valley. A leader in the weight-loss surgical field, Dr. Amigo teaches at universities in Ohio and West Virginia. His special interests include surgical procedures for acid reflux and heartburn, hernias and diseases of the colon. Furthermore, Dr. Amigo served as Medical Director at the Mid-Ohio Valley Lap-Band Center in Parkersburg, West Virginia. In his spare time, he volunteers with the ALS Association and coaches local athletic youth teams. Patients enjoy his warm bedside manner and proficiency with the latest medical techniques.
