Jeffrey P. Pancer, DDS, is first and foremost a leading sleep apnea and snoring expert. In addition to general dentistry, 40% of his practice's patients are suffering from sleep disorders. He is the developer of a device called the "Sleep Saver", an oral device to help those suffering from excessive snoring and/or sleep apnea. In 1999, he published a study in Chest using his device with 134 patients with different levels of sleeping problems. From 2004 to 2007, Dr. Pancer served on the American Academy of Sleep Medicine's Standards of Practice Committee, setting up several parameters for the practice of sleep medicine. From 2008-2010, he was President of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. He is a graduate of a comprehensive sleep medicine course given at Harvard by some of the most prestigious names in the field worldwide. In addition to practicing medicine, he lectures around the United States and Canada about his oral appliance therapy.
