James E. Jan, MD, FRCP(c), works at the British Columbia Children's Hospital in Vancouver.  He specializes in pediatric neurology, particularly sleep disorders.  The author of a textbook and a book for parents about visual impairment in children, Dr. Jan introduced the concept of melatonin replacement therapy for children's sleep disorders. He was also the main contributor on a study for the Official Journal of the American Academy of Pediatrics entitled "Sleep Hygiene for Children with Neurodevelopmental Disabilities". His research in pediatric neurology is being conducted all over the world.
