Petra Selke, MD, FRCS(C), FACOG, of Vancouver, British Columbia, has a practice in general Obstetrics and Gynecology to which she brings 27 years' experience. She enjoys a diagnostic challenge, and understands the need to take the time it takes. Petra is a Clinical Associate Professor in the University of British Columbia Faculty of Medicine, and active in teaching at the undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing medical education levels. She has admitting privileges at Vancouver Hospital, and at BC Women's Hospital and Health Center, working in a call group that provides 24 hour on site obstetrical coverage. Her research interests are in patient outcomes and prevention of adverse events. She has served on a number of patient safety and advocacy committees and is particularly proud to recently have been a Section Chairman of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology's District VIII Advisory Committee. Appointments may be made upon referral from a primary health care provider.
