Dr. Li’s journey in the medical field began with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Microbiology and Bacteriology from the University of California, Berkeley in 1977, followed by a Doctor of Medicine Degree from the University of California Davis School of Medicine in 1981. Her commitment to excellence led her to complete a residency in internal medicine at UC Davis Medical Center and Kaiser Oakland Permanente from 1982 to 1987, and then a fellowship in interventional cardiology at UC Davis Medical Center and Martinez VA Hospital from 1987 to 1990.

Dr. Li is board certified in internal medicine and holds the prestigious titles of Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), and Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP). Her accolades reflect her dedication to advancing the field of cardiology and providing high-quality care to her patients.

Beyond her medical practice, Dr. Li actively engages in philanthropic and civic endeavors. She is the founder of the Patient Advocate Organization and the Asian Fremont Lions Club, demonstrating her commitment to giving back to the community. Additionally, Dr. Li serves as a legislative representative for three professional medical associations, advocating for policies that improve healthcare delivery and patient outcomes.
