An established pediatrician, Dr. Adonis practices at SSM Health St. Clare Hospital – Fenton.

SSM Health St. Clare Hospital – Fenton, a Level I Time Critical Diagnosis STEMI Center and a Level I Stroke Center, serves the medical needs of the expanding community in southwest St. Louis County. Specializing in heart and vascular, neurosciences, cancer care, maternity and other medical services, they make patients’ health and wellness a primary focus.

In regards to his educational background, Dr. Adonis graduated with his medical degree from Meharry Medical College, and completed his residency in pediatrics at Case Western Reserve University.

An expert in his field, the doctor is board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The mission of the ABP is to advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.

Among his other roles, he maintains hospital privileges at DePaul Hospital – St. Louis, St. Joseph Hospital – St. Charles, St. Joseph Hospital – Lake Saint Louis, and Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital.

Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends individuals be under pediatric care up to the age of 21. Pediatricians provide medical care to people ranging in age from newborns to young adults. They are trained to examine, diagnose, and treat children with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses through all of their developmental stages, as they grow and mature.
