Mihai D. Dimancescu, MD, FACS, worked at Neurological Surgery PC in Rockville Centre, New York. An expert in brain and spinal surgery, Dr. Dimancescu introduced multiple new surgical techniques to several hospitals in Nassau County, was a pioneer in microendoscopic diskectomy (MED) of the lumbar spine and is a recognized expert in the evaluation and management of coma. He is author of multiple book chapters on neurosurgery and is also President of the Child Brain Development Academy in Philadelphia, and Chairman of the Board of The Institutes for the Achievement of Human Potential. Dr. Dimancescu is a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Governors of South Nassau Communities Hospital.
