First of all, you need to be appropriately evaluated by your doctor to determine what is causing the concentration problem, as it could be the symptom of number of physical and mental illnesses. There are some mind exercises that could be beneficial/helpful, but having a thorough evaluation should be done and then consultation with appropriate specialist, as mind exercises and some medications could be helpful if chosen carefully by the appropriate specialist. There are ways to deal with it. Among them the foremost is to try to have your shift change if at all possible. if that is not possible then you need to see a doctor and get the full physical exam including your mental health and ask your doctor's opinion if you could be the good candidate who may benefit from taking stimulant medication to cope with night shift and taking Melatonin when you finish work so that biological clock can be Re-set as per your work requirements. hope this will be helpful. 5 mg of Lorazepam is quite a high dose. I think it would probably be 0.5 mg that your doctor has prescribed. However, it is not an actual treatment if you have a diagnosis of anxiety. It is just a band aid kind of treatment to be used for breakthrough anxiety attacks or panic attacks. The other caveat is that it does cause a dependence and has addiction problems. READ MORE
