Toyin Opesanmi, MD, has been a family practitioner for over a decade. She is also an HIV specialist and addictions expert. Her passion as a doctor is to bridge health disparity among the under-served both nationally and internationally by meeting their health care needs one person at a time, one family at a time, one community at a time. She currently serves as CEO and Medical Director at Gennesaret Counseling Services, LLC in Baltimore, Maryland, a position she embraced in 2011. The company provides a variety of counseling services, including substance abuse counseling. Dr. Opesanmi is also the President and Medical Director of Global Vision Foundation since 2005 and an attending physician at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore. She received her education at the Medical College of Pennsylvania and continued with her training at the University of Texas Health Science Center. She is additionally board certified in Family Medicine and a distinguished member of the The Myositis Association, the American Academy of Family Physicians, and the Urban Coalition for HIV/AIDS Prevention Services. Toyin was also the recipient of the FIRN American Success Award and frequently attends local missions through clinics and nonprofit organizations, including the Community Global Health Center.
