Thierry M. Muanza, MD, FRCP(C), is a radiation oncologist working within the Department of Oncology, Division of Radiation Oncology at the Jewish General Hospital in Montreal, Quebec. Dr. Muanza joined the JGH in 2004 drawing on his many years in practice. His dedication to his field is undisputed. In addition to his clinical duties he is an active member of several tumor boards at various medical institutions. He is also an Assistant Professor at McGill University. His involvement with the Young Adult Clinic has lead to improved understanding and care for patients in the 18 through 39 age category. He completed his MD at Universit� de Sherbrooke in 1997 and trained during his internship and residency at Jewish General Hospital. Furthermore, he is an ASTRO-NCI Fellow having studied at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. As a radiation oncologist, he specializes in Radiation Oncology particularly for the Brain and Breast. Dr. Muanza is certified in oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a member of the Society of Neuro-oncology, the Canadian Brain Cancer Consortium, the Canadian Medical Association, and the Quebec Medical Association.

    It would nice to know where the tumor is located. For brain tumor, although a CT scan can point to features of b lower grade tumor/benign, more investigation with MRI imaging is warranted.     Depending on the size of the treatment field, daily radiation dose, the number of radiation doses delivered, technique and beam energy a skin reaction called dermatitis can occur.
