Leading Interventional Cardiologist Brings Expertise and Compassion to Patients in the Dallas Region

A distinguished interventional cardiologist, Dr. Kumar is affiliated with HeartPlace/US Heart & Vascular, caring for patients in Collin County and throughout the Dallas region. Known for his compassionate approach and commitment to improving patient outcomes, he specializes in coronary revascularization, peripheral vascular disease management, congestive heart failure, and valvular disease.

His journey into the medical field began at the esteemed UT Southwestern Medical School, where he earned his medical degree with honors. He furthered his education at Harvard Medical School/Beth Israel Deaconess, completing a rigorous residency in internal medicine. 

To refine his cardiology expertise, Dr. Kumar pursued a fellowship at the Texas Heart Institute, a leader in innovative cardiovascular treatments. During his fellowship, he received specialized training in both cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology, solidifying his reputation as a trusted expert in the field. Additionally, he has undertaken extra training in the management of peripheral vascular disease, a commitment that has allowed him to help countless patients improve blood flow and enhance their quality of life.
