Romulo C. Tengco received his medical degree in 1978 from The University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine and Surgery in Manila, The Philippines. He then interned at Makati Medical Center in The Philippines before relocating to the United States, where he served his residency at North Shore University Hospital and Nassau County Medical Center (Pathology) in New York. Dr. Tengco is board-certified in family medicine. He maintains active memberships with the Texas Medical Association, the El Paso County Medical Society, and the Philippine American Medical Society of New Jersey, of which he is past president. Dr. Tengco is a highly-trained and qualified family medicine physician who has been practicing for over 33 years and is currently serving patients at Bienvivir Senior Health Services in La El Paso, Texas. Bienvivir Senior Health Services is a community-based program that was developed in 1986 to specifically and exclusively render services to the elderly of El Paso by means of the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). Dr. Tengco also serves on staff at The Hospitals of Providence and The University Medical Center of El Paso. A family medicine physician, like Dr. Tengco, is often the first doctor whom a patient sees when seeking healthcare services. They examine and treat patients with a wide range of conditions and refer those with serious ailments to a specialist or appropriate facility. Dr. Tengco attributes his success to being compassionate towards his patients. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf and traveling.
