Get to know Family Practitioner Dr. Vyacheslav Isakov, who serves patients in Mayfield Heights, Ohio.

Dr. Isakov is a family practitioner who is affiliated with Cleveland Clinic – Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights, Ohio. Hillcrest Hospital is a comprehensive-care hospital that is part of the Cleveland Clinic Health System. The hospital currently has 500 registered beds, and serves as a level II trauma center for eastern Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, and Portage counties. Hillcrest continues to be a leader in patient care, nationally ranking as one of the nation’s top 100 hospitals, renowned in cardiac medicine.

Dr. Isakov received his medical degree from Andijan State Medical Institute in Andijan, Uzbekistan. He then went on to complete his internship at Nassau County Medical Center in East Meadow, New York, followed by his residency at the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, Kentucky.

Dr. Isakov is board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). Founded in 1969, the ABFM is a not-for-profit, private organization whose mission is to improve the health of the public through board certification, residency training, research, leadership development, and promoting the development of the specialty of Family Medicine. The ABFM’s primary role is to support family physicians who are committed to achieving excellence in improving the health of their patients, their families, and their communities.

Family medicine, formerly family practice, is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. A family practitioner, like Dr. Isakov, is a doctor who specializes in caring for the entire family. They serve as a doctor for individuals regardless of their age and gender. Patients can be children, adults, and the elderly, and are treated for a wide array of medical issues.
