About

Dr. Merrifield is a Canadian trained, board certified family physician (CCFP) and was awarded the Fellowship of College Of Family Physicians (FCFP) in 2014. She has worked in the ER, was Director of a large PAC-10 University Medical Health and Wellness Center, is a published author of internationally acclaimed children's health storybooks, studied with masters in integrative and functional medicine and created a program where many have restored and maintained optimal health.

Her education began early in both fields of conventional and integrative medicine. Nutritional functional biochemistry was a core class in her first year of Medical School at the University of Saskatchewan, Canada. Integrative, whole person medical care was encouraged in her internship and residency years at the University of Western Ontario in London, Canada.

The Spirit-Mind-Body-Environment wholistic approach uses time and energy to identify the underlying imbalances at all levels, then finds appropriate and cost effective tools for re-balancing. She has expertise in many areas including Adrenal Fatigue, Thyroid, Hormonal Imbalances, Prolotherapy, Myofascial Release, Low Dose Naltrexone, the GUT and all the Immune and Mood disturbances that come from non optimal life choices and low grade infections. Our beliefs and our biography (story/experiences) affect our choices which then becomes our biology
