Richard J. Pollard, MD, is an anesthesiologist and neuro-anesthesiologist who currently serves as Director of Neuroanesthesia Fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. After completing his Medical Degree, Dr. Pollard completed his Anesthesiology residency at the University of Florida, followed by a Neurosurgical anesthesia fellowship with the same institute. Dr. Pollard is certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology. To stay up to date in his field he remains a professional member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists and the Massachusetts Society of Anesthesiologists. Dr. Pollard has been recognized as a Fellow of the American Society of Anesthesiologists. He currently practices with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where is part of the Department of Anesthesia and the Director of Neurosurgical Anesthesia Fellowship. He has Neurosurgical anesthesia and neurology specialists work closely with the neurosurgeons. This provides a strong continuum of acute care for patients and delivers the finest neurocritical services. It also promotes collaborations that enhance our clinical results while supporting our educational and research missions.
